Whiz Art Media Ltd ("GiggleTime," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Bulgaria (EIK 206971482), operates the GiggleTime website and applications (the "Service") and is the data controller responsible for your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have regarding it.

1. Data We Collect

Account information: email address, username, first and last name (if provided), authentication method (email/password, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In), preferred language, account creation date, and the date and version of the Terms of Use you accepted.

Content you submit: jokes and comments you submit, votes and favourites, and any optional attribution/author name you provide.

Moderation data: reports you submit (the reported content, the reason and any comment), users you block, and moderation actions taken on your account or content.

Payment information: if you subscribe to GiggleTime Premium, payments are processed by Stripe on the web, and by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) in the mobile apps. RevenueCat manages your subscription status across platforms. We never receive or store your full card details. We keep records of your subscription status, billing history and transaction identifiers.

Usage data: pages visited, jokes viewed, features used (including AI translation and text-to-speech usage, tracked to enforce free-tier limits), device and browser type, and your approximate country, derived from your IP address at the time of the visit. Our analytics are cookieless: we record page views on our own servers without cookies or identifiers, and we do not store IP addresses in our analytics. IP addresses are processed temporarily for security and abuse prevention (for example, rate limiting).

Cookies: we use only strictly necessary cookies (login session, language and settings, spam protection, and payment security at checkout). We do not use advertising, marketing or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Comedian profile information: for our comedian directory, we may collect and display publicly available information about comedians (such as name, nationality, and links to their own public social media or websites), sourced only from publicly accessible information. If a comedian claims their profile, we also collect the information needed to verify their identity or authorisation to manage that profile. Comedians can ask us to correct or remove their profile at any time.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the Service (account access, joke and comment submission, voting, saving favourites)
• To process subscription payments and manage your billing relationship
• To enforce usage limits on free-tier features (AI translation, premium text-to-speech)
• To moderate submitted content, respond to reports and act on blocks
• To protect the Service against spam and abuse
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service
• To send you updates and promotional offers by email, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or in Account Settings.

Legal bases: we process your data on the basis of performance of our contract with you (providing your account, subscriptions and the Service); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, moderation, improving the Service, and operating the comedian directory); your consent (marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (keeping payment and tax records).

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties, only as necessary to operate the Service:

• Stripe - payment processing on the web (https://stripe.com/privacy)
• Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) - payment processing for subscriptions purchased in the mobile apps
• RevenueCat - subscription management across web, iOS and Android (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Machine translation, AI and text-to-speech services - to generate translated and audio versions of jokes. Only joke text is sent to these services, never your personal data.
• Google reCAPTCHA - protects our sign-up, contact and password-reset forms against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and browser data) and your IP address and sends it to Google.
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple - if you choose to sign in with them, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
• Our hosting provider - stores the Service's data and sends our emails on our behalf.

Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies, and we only share the minimum data necessary for them to perform their function.

4. No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use or share it for advertising or ad targeting. For California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

5. Data Retention

• Account data: kept for as long as your account is active.
• Login sessions: deleted after 3 days of inactivity, and after 28 days at most.
• Server and security logs: kept for up to 30 days.
• Reports and moderation records: kept for up to 12 months after the report is resolved.
• Payment and tax records: kept for as long as the law requires.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep records (e.g. payment and tax records) for longer.

6. Your Rights

We give all users the rights below, wherever they live. For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, these are your rights under the EU GDPR and UK GDPR. You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg), the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or the authority in your country.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly from within the app at any time, under Account Settings. This removes your personal data as described in Section 5. If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes GiggleTime's access to your Apple ID.

8. Children's Privacy

GiggleTime is intended for adults aged 18 and over, as some jokes contain mature humour. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including restricting access credentials (e.g. API keys and service accounts) to only the permissions necessary for their function. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

12. Language

This Privacy Policy is available in several languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version prevails, except where local law requires otherwise.
