Rose Sydell was an American burlesque performer who headlined her own production, Rose Sydell and the London Belles, which toured both the United States and Europe for twenty‑six years. Her habit of covering herself in abundant, costly jewels and lavish ostrich feathers earned her the distinction of being regarded as America’s first Burlesque Queen.
