Stella Nanteza

Stella Nanteza, a Ugandan musician, co‑founded the Ebonies—a drama and music ensemble that surged to nationwide fame in the 1980s. Alongside Jimmy Katumbawere she helped shape the beloved philippic music style in Uganda, securing a spot among the nation’s foremost artists. The Ebonies dominated the Ugandan music scene throughout the ’80s and ’90s.
