Sander Õigus

Sander Õigus is an Estonian stand-up comedian from Tartu and one of the early pioneers of modern Estonian stand-up comedy. He began performing in 2011 and became closely associated with Comedy Estonia, helping establish and develop the country's Estonian-language stand-up scene. His comedy is largely based on personal experiences, everyday observations, self-deprecating humour, and long, often awkward stories drawn from real life.

Over the years, Õigus has created numerous full-length solo shows, including Esimesed triibulised, Hoopis teine tera, Kolmandas isikus, Neljanda seina taga, Hinge turule viies, and Kuues. He has also performed extensively outside Estonia, including at comedy festivals and in countries such as Australia, using international performances to develop and test his English-language material.

Õigus is known for finding humour in subjects ranging from ordinary everyday experiences to darker and more uncomfortable aspects of life. His approach combines self-criticism, personal storytelling, and observations about Estonian society, while his work has contributed to the growing recognition of Estonian stand-up comedy both at home and internationally.
