About GiggleTime

GiggleTime started as a simple idea: most joke sites are cluttered, ad-heavy, and built for one language. We wanted something different - a real home for jokes, organised properly, with credit given where it's due, and readable in whatever language you actually speak.

We're building a structured, searchable collection of jokes - dad jokes, puns, dark humour, and everything in between - where every joke has a home, a category, and (whenever we can find it) proper attribution to whoever wrote it first.

GiggleTime is built by one person — with an AI assist for the heavy lifting and a very patient human making sure nothing awful slips through — who believes comedy shouldn't need a translation app open in another tab. Every joke you submit helps make this a better, funnier, more complete place — in every language we support.

How GiggleTime works

Where the jokes come from

Jokes come from our own curated collection, from readers who submit them, and from classic jokes passed around for generations. Every joke is filed under a category and, whenever we can trace it, credited to the person who wrote it.

How we keep it friendly

New submissions go through an automatic content filter before they appear. Anyone can report a joke, a comment or a profile from its menu, and every report is reviewed by a person. You can also block another user, which hides everything they post from you. Safe Mode, on by default, keeps jokes marked as adult out of sight.

How translations work

Every joke has one original language. You can read any joke in another language with our AI-assisted translation; translated text is always labelled with the language it was translated from, and jokes that depend on wordplay that doesn't survive translation are shown in the original instead.

Comedian profiles

Comedian profiles are built from public sources - Wikidata, Wikipedia and the performers' official channels - and credited on our Attributions page. Comedians can claim their profile to update their biography, photo, links and upcoming shows themselves. Attributions
